Every ingredient across our three bears was chosen because published research suggested it could help you feel more energized, perform better, or recover faster. Here’s that research, in plain English.
We’re the team behind Zippy Bears — gummy makers, not doctors, dietitians, or scientists. We got curious about what actually helps the body wake up, push harder, and bounce back, and our bears are what we built. This page shares what published research says about the ingredients we chose. It’s ingredient education, not medical advice.
Everyone’s body is different. If you have a health condition, take medication, or are pregnant or nursing, please talk with your healthcare provider before adding any supplement to your routine — including ours.
Caffeine paired with vitamins and botanicals, built to lift you up and keep you focused — without the crash of an energy drink.
The most familiar and most-studied pick-me-up there is. Research broadly supports caffeine for alertness, focus, and reducing the feeling of fatigue.
An Amazonian seed extract that naturally contains caffeine, which releases more gradually. It also carries antioxidant plant compounds studied for supporting alertness.
One of the world’s oldest tree species, its leaf extract has been studied for supporting healthy blood circulation and aspects of cognitive function and mental clarity.
A compound your cells use to help produce energy in the mitochondria — your cellular “power plants.” It’s an antioxidant also researched for heart health.
Vitamin C is an antioxidant that supports normal immune function and collagen formation; Vitamin D supports normal bone, muscle, and immune function — and is famously hard to get in the north.
B vitamins that contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, plus healthy red blood cell formation.
The pump-and-performance ingredients you’d find in a pre-workout scoop — without the chalky shaker bottle.
One of the most-researched sports supplements ever, with hundreds of studies linking daily use to support for strength, power output, and training performance.
An amino acid the body uses to make carnosine, which helps buffer the acid that builds up in hard-working muscles. Research explores its role in high-intensity performance and delaying fatigue. (It’s the ingredient behind that harmless tingle.)
An amino acid the body converts toward nitric oxide, which helps blood vessels relax. Studied for supporting healthy blood flow, exercise performance, and how the muscles feel afterward.
Naturally rich in dietary nitrates, another path to nitric oxide. Beetroot is one of the more popular endurance ingredients, researched for blood flow and exercise efficiency.
Widely studied for supporting energy, focus, and perceived effort during exercise — a staple of nearly every pre-workout for good reason.
Our recovery bear pairs a full clinical dose of creatine with tart cherry, electrolytes, and a modest amount of caffeine.
The 5 g in each serving matches the daily amount most commonly used in studies, which link creatine with support for strength, power, and exercise recovery.
Rich in antioxidant anthocyanins. Studies in athletes have associated tart cherry with support for post-exercise recovery and normal levels of soreness, and it’s explored for healthy sleep.
Nature’s original sports drink, naturally containing potassium and other electrolytes lost in sweat — studied as a rehydration beverage after exercise.
Supports nitric-oxide production and healthy blood flow — researched for how heavy the legs feel in the days after training.
About one cup of coffee — kept moderate on purpose for a recovery product. (See the caffeine note below.)
Vitamin D3, C, B6 & B12 plus zinc, magnesium, potassium, and a little sea salt — nutrients with established roles in muscle function, energy metabolism, and fluid balance.
Our bears contain caffeine, and the amount varies by product — Zippy Bears are our most caffeinated (energy), while Trail Bears keep it moderate at 100 mg per serving (about one cup of coffee). None of them are recommended for children, people sensitive to caffeine, or women who are pregnant or nursing. Keep track of your total daily caffeine from all sources (the FDA suggests healthy adults generally stay under 400 mg per day), and check the pouch for that product’s exact amount.
